Our coach and minibus fleet in Glasgow
Our own vehicles are a blue Mercedes Tourismo coach, a silver Volvo B8R coach and a silver Mercedes Sprinter minibus, run from Glasgow, Scotland, each with a driver. The Tourismo seats 53, the Volvo B8R 38 and the Sprinter 16. For other sizes, or more vehicles on the same day, Ritaat Coaches uses partner operators, listed separately below.

Sizes supplied by partner operators
This section is not our fleet. When a group needs a size we don’t own, or more vehicles than we have on a date, a partner operator supplies them. Your written quote says which vehicle you get.
Sizes partners supply:
- Small minibus
- Midi coach (for example 22 seats)
- Full-size coach (extra vehicles)
- Wheelchair-accessible vehicle

Which size do you need?
UK coach hire usually comes in three sizes: a minibus (up to 16 passenger seats), a midi coach and a full-size coach of roughly 49 to 57 seats. The University of Bath’s buyers’ guide, for example, groups them as minibus 1–16, midi 17–29 and coach 30–63. Exact seat counts vary by vehicle, so always ask. A minibus with up to 16 passenger seats needs a D1 entitlement to drive, and a larger vehicle needs category D. When you hire with a driver, that is our responsibility, not yours (D1 licence guide).

What vehicles does Ritaat Coaches own?
Our own vehicles are a blue Mercedes Tourismo coach, a silver Volvo B8R coach and a silver Mercedes Sprinter minibus, run from Glasgow.
How many seats does each vehicle have?
The Mercedes Tourismo has 53 seats, the Volvo B8R has 38 and the Mercedes Sprinter has 16.
Are partner vehicles different from yours?
Yes. Partner vehicles belong to other licensed operators and are used for sizes we don’t own or for extra vehicles on busy dates. We never describe a partner’s vehicle as ours.
Do the vehicles have seatbelts, USB or a toilet?
All three have seatbelts, with a belt at every seat on the Sprinter. The Sprinter also has USB charging, air conditioning and Wi-Fi, and Wi-Fi is included in every quote. Tell us what your group needs when you ask for a quote.
Which vehicles take a wheelchair user?
Yes. Our Tourismo, Volvo B8R and Sprinter are all wheelchair accessible, so tell us when you book. Mention any other access needs when you ask for a quote so we can match the vehicle.
Can I ask for the Mercedes Tourismo or the Volvo B8R specifically?
Yes. You can ask for a particular coach, and the quote confirms which vehicle you get, subject to availability on your date.
