Edinburgh Central Mosque has a large main prayer hall with a women’s balcony and separate wudu rooms. Contact the mosque before bringing a group. Mosques and madrasahs

  • Pick-up at the mosque. The group gathers at the mosque and returns there, so parents know where to collect children.
  • Seating. If the group wants men and women, or boys and girls, seated separately, tell us so the organiser can plan the seating.
  • Wheelchairs. Our own vehicles are wheelchair accessible: tell us when you book.

Eid trips in 2027

The expected dates for 2027 are Eid al-Fitr around 10 March 2027 and Eid al-Adha around 16 May 2027. Both depend on the moon sighting, and mosques in Glasgow may mark them on different days, so check with your own mosque.

Book as soon as your mosque fixes the date, and tell us if it may move by a day.

Churches

Churches book minibuses and coaches for services, youth trips, weddings, funerals and pilgrimages. We collect from the church or from members’ homes.

Charities and community organisations

  • Paying. A 50% deposit books the trip. The balance is due 7 days before departure.
  • Older and disabled passengers. Our own vehicles are wheelchair accessible. Tell us about wheelchairs and walking aids when you book.

What a community trip costs

The price drivers specific to community trips:

  • Eid and summer weekends are in demand, and peak-season prices are higher.
  • Several pick-up points rather than one mosque or church.
  • Waiting time at the destination.

Prices from: a 53-seat coach from £1,200 a day, or from £1,500 in peak season. A 16-seat minibus from £375 for an airport pick-up. Prices differ by season. A day is up to 10 hours; extra hours may be charged.

Every quote is in writing and lists what is included: fuel, mileage, the driver, road and bridge tolls, standard parking, waiting time during the hire, bottled water and Wi-Fi. Ferry crossings and coach-park charges at venues are charged at cost and shown on the quote. Attraction tickets, food and gratuity are not included.
