Coach and minibus hire in Paisley and Renfrewshire
Ritaat Coaches provides coach and minibus hire with a driver in Paisley and across Renfrewshire and Inverclyde, from our base in Glasgow, Scotland. Glasgow Airport is about 2 miles from Paisley town centre by road, so airport runs are short. Our own Mercedes Tourismo (53 seats), Volvo B8R (38 seats) and Sprinter minibus (16 seats) cover many groups; partners supply larger ones.
We don’t have a depot in Renfrewshire. The vehicle comes out from Glasgow, about 9 miles from Paisley by road (around 17 minutes with no traffic), and the quote accounts for that.
Paisley and Glasgow Airport
Glasgow Airport (GLA) is in Paisley, off M8 junction 28, about 2 miles (around 6 minutes) by road from Paisley town centre and about 10 miles from Glasgow city centre. For a Paisley group flying out, that means a short run to the terminal; for visitors landing at GLA and staying in Paisley, a short transfer to the hotel. The airport says coaches and buses use its Zone C [verify by hand: the site blocks automated fetches].
How a group pick-up at the airport works, what happens if a flight is late and how much luggage fits: Glasgow Airport group transfers.
Paisley venues groups travel to
- Paisley Town Hall (Abbey Close, PA1), run by OneRen, is hired for weddings, conferences and gala dinners; OneRen gives its Main Hall a capacity of 260 to 400. A guest list that size can need two or more coaches between hotels and the hall, which we supply with partner operators [verify: coach set-down point on Abbey Close]. See wedding coach hire.
- Paisley Abbey, founded in the 12th century and still a working church, hosts weddings in three spaces: St Mirin Chapel for up to 40 guests, the choir for up to 120 and the nave for up to 500.
- The SMiSA Stadium (St Mirren Park, Greenhill Road): recent visiting clubs’ notices sent supporters’ coaches to Clark Street, off the A726, and warned of a low bridge on Greenhill Road with 3 metres’ clearance, which coach drivers must route around. We follow the notice for your fixture. See sports and supporters’ coaches.
Renfrew, Johnstone and Erskine
| Town | Road distance and time from Glasgow city centre (no traffic) | Coach note |
|---|---|---|
| Renfrew | about 8 miles, 15 minutes | Braehead Arena has its own coach park next to the Braehead bus station, and asks coach parties to contact the arena before arriving |
| Johnstone | about 13 miles, 20 minutes | Johnstone Town Hall, run by OneRen, seats up to 180 for a wedding meal and is about a 10-minute walk from Johnstone station; we set down at the door [verify set-down on the street] |
| Erskine | about 14 miles, 23 minutes | The Erskine Bridge (A898) joins the A82 at Dalnottar, the road north to Loch Lomond, so Erskine pick-ups suit Loch Lomond day trips |
Greenock and Inverclyde
Greenock is about 25 miles from Glasgow city centre by road (around 40 minutes with no traffic) and about 17 miles from Glasgow Airport. Coach hire in Greenock covers local groups, such as schools, clubs and churches travelling to Glasgow or further, as well as cruise passengers. The town’s Ocean Terminal hosted 82 cruise calls in 2025, and 75 were forecast for 2026. Shore trips and ship transfers: Greenock cruise transfers.
